Abstract Objective: To observe the therapeutic effect of acupoint injection combined with alendronate sodium in the treatment of low back pain in osteoporosis. Methods: One hundred cases were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group, and were treated with acupoint injection combined with alendronate sodium and only alendronate sodium treatment, respectively. The low back pain, physical function, bone mineral density (BMD), and bone conversion biochemical markers changes were detected in 1 month and 3 months after treatment. Results: The low back pain and physical function displayed significant difference between the experimental group and the control group (P<0.05) in 1 month after treatment. But, BMD and bone conversion biochemical markers changes had no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05) in 3 months after treatment. Conclusion: The treatment of acupoint injection combined with alendronate sodium has an excellent short-term curative effect on osteoporotic patients.
