Abstract Renal tumor is the common neoplasm in genitourinary system. As the proportion of patients with early renal tumors detected by medical imaging examination increases year by year, partial nephrectomy is also increasing. Nowadays, robot-assisted partial nephrectomy (RAPN) has been widely used in PN. With the expanded three-dimensional vision, multi-angle precise dissection of renal tumors and rapid suture, RAPN has reduced the intraoperative blood loss and shortened the time of renal warm ischemia. RAPN has become a new surgical choice for patients with renal tumors. This article reviews the current status and development of the application of RAPN in recent years.
