The relationship between high-risk human papillomavirus infection and vaginal microecology |

Abstract Objective: To explore the relationship between HR-HPV infection and the microecological changes of vagina. Methods: From November 2016 to October 2017, sixty cases of HR-HPV infection positive in the Gynecology Department of Ningbo Hospital of TCM were selected as infection group, and sixty cases with HR-HPV infection negative were collected as control group. Two groups were examined for vaginal microecology, and the relationship between the results of vaginal microecological examination and HR-HPV infection was analyzed. The nine indicators including vaginal cleanliness, vaginal pH, hydrogen peroxide concentration, leukocyte esterase, bacterial vaginosis, aerobic vaginitis, trichomonal vaginitis, vulvovaginal candidiasis and mixed infection were analyzed by single factor. Taking the HR-HPV infection as the dependent variable to conduct logistic regression analysis. Results: There were significant differences in vaginal cleanliness, vaginal pH, hydrogen peroxide concentration, leukocyte esterase and BV between the two groups (P<0.05). It was showed that vaginal cleanliness, vaginal pH and BV were the risk factors of the HR-HPV infection (OR=8.389, 3.736, 4.222). Conclusion: The imbalance of vagina microecology is closely related to HR-HPV infection. Vaginal cleanliness degree III-IV, vaginal pH greater than 4.5 and BV are the risk factors of HR-HPV infection.
