Expression of survivin and PTEN in benign and malignant gastric ulcer

Abstract： Objective: To study the expression of survivin and the 10th chromosome homologous gene lacking protein phosphatase-tension (PTEN) in benign and malignant gastric ulcer. Methods: One hundred gastric ulcer tissues and one hundred gastric cancer tissues were collected from January 2015 to March 2016 in the Third Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University. Expressive difference of PTEN and survivin between gastric ulcer tissues and gastric cancer tissues were measured by immunohistiochemistry. Results: The positive expression rate of survivin in gastric cancer tissues was higher than that in the gastric ulcer tissues, but the positive expression rate of PTEN in gastric cancer tissues was lower than that in the gastric ulcer tissues, the difference was both statistically significant (P<0.01). Conclusion: The expression of survivin in gastric cancer is positive, and the expression of PTEN is negative.
