Abstract:We propose a new medical model that we call Embodied Medicine (EM). EM integrates both the holistic and dialectic approach of the Traditional Chinese Medicine and the recent advances in modern science. Here, we will discuss how we can use the ideas of Big Data and phenomenological thinking to reveal the nature of health and develop new clinical approaches to treat diseases. We argue that EM will modernize the clinical practices of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and thus will have significant impacts on the future of medicine and human health.
