Abstract:Objective: To understand the distribution of antigen and gene frequency of MNS blood group system in She ethnic minority population in Cangnan area of Wenzhou. Methods: The MNS phenotype from 122 She people’s blood samples in Cangnan between October 2021 and April 2022 were identified by serological method, and MNS genotypes were detected by fluorescence PCR-SSP method. Results: The results of MNS blood group serotype and genotype were consistent in She population in Cangnan area of Wenzhou. The gene frequency of the MNS blood group system were M=0.566, N=0.434, S=0.037, s=0.963. The frequencies of genotypes MM, MN, and NN were 0.254, 0.123, and 0.623, and the frequencies of genotypes ss and Ss were 0.926 and 0.074,respectively. No SS genotype was detected. Conclusion: The MNS gene frequency of She population in Cangnan area of Wenzhou has its own distribution frequency characteristics, similar to yet different from the reported Tibetans or Han populations.
