Abstract:Objective: To investigate the anti-gastric cancer activity of 4’-O-methylbroussochalcone B in vitro. Methods: After the gastric cancer cell line AGS was treated with 4’-O-methylbroussochalcone B, the cell growth was detected by MTT and colony assay, cell migration by wounding healing assay, cell cycle and apoptosis by the flow cytometry, the expression of DYRK1A protein by Western blot. Results: The IC50 of 4’-Omethylbroussochalcone B on AGS was (7.7±1.3) μmol/L, which could inhibit colony formation and migration, induce cycle arrest and apoptosis, and down-regulate the expression of DYRK1A in a concentration-dependent manner (P<0.05). Conclusion: 4’-O-methylbroussochalcone B has significant anti-gastric cancer activity by inhibiting DYRK1A in vitro.
