Abstract:Objective: To explore the related factors for unplanned endotracheal extubation events in intensive care unit (ICU), so as to provide scientific basis for the prevention and management of unplanned endotracheal extubations in ICU patients. Methods: Based on the association rules, data of 109 cases of unplanned endotracheal extubations reported from the First Affiliated Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University between January 1st 2018 to August 31st 2021 were analyzed. Results: Through condition setting and Chi-square test, 309 rules were selected. With nursing professional knowledge taken into account, 16 strong association rules were finally obtained. Conclusion: Through data mining, we can see clearly the association rules among factors of unplanned endotracheal extubation events, which provides guidance for the prevention and management system of unplanned endotrachea extubations in ICU, thus ensuring the safety of patients with endotracheal intubation.
